Awareness Meeting at the Autonomous Port of Nouakchott on Supporting Domestic Tourism
The Director General of the Autonomous Port of Nouakchott, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Maham, chaired a meeting this morning with the port’s administrative staff, including directors, advisors, and mission officers. The meeting was dedicated to urging them to adhere to the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, which call for spending holidays within the country to support domestic tourism and strengthen the national economy.
During the meeting, the Director General emphasized the important role each individual can play in boosting the national economy. He noted that spending holidays within the country not only stimulates economic activity but also enhances the sense of belonging and helps to showcase the country's rich tourism potential.
He also called on senior staff to lead by example and encourage their families and communities to adopt this approach, highlighting that support for domestic tourism is one of the key pillars of the national development strategy.
